Children who are ready for kindergarten are more likely to stay on track and in school. And teens who finish high school are more likely to be employed. When we help our region’s children prepare for school, finish school and pursue higher education or training, we lay the foundation for a brighter future for us all.
This Bold Goal measure allows us to monitor progress toward the community goal that at least 85% of youth will graduate from high school (prepared for life, college and career). Moving forward, it will be important to take a closer look at indicators for college and career readiness so we know if our graduates are “prepared for life, college and career.”
