This indicator tells us the ratio of minority-owned businesses to population size. Visible minority-owned businesses encourage others to start new businesses. Increased support for these businesses can create wealth and economic opportunities for minorities. Such support is one way to close income and employment gaps between men and women, and whites and minorities, in our region.
KEY FACT: In the Cincinnati MSA, there are 10.4 minority-owned businesses per 1,000 people.
