This indicator tell us the ratio of women-owned businesses to population size. Visible women-owned businesses encourage others to start new businesses. Increased support for these businesses can create wealth and economic opportunities for women. Such support is one way to close income and employment gaps between men and women, and whites and minorities, in our region.

KEY FACT: There are 25.5 women-owned businesses per 1,000 people in the Cincinnati MSA.
